She's growing and she is growing FAST!!
It is so fun to be able to watch her grow and document it with my camera!
We have done newborn, 3month, 6 month and just a few days ago, I got to spend some time with her and she is NINE months old already!
And we also squeezed some session time with her beautiful parents!
The best part is that her birthday is coming up! Spring will be here and I can capture sweet Holland on her first birthday!
It is true! This girl is TWO already!!
Little Rayah has a few changes come along in the past couple of weeks. The recent newborn session that I blogged about was the introduction of her new little sister...Emry Joy!
This time though, I got to spend some alone time with Miss Rayah and watch her do what she does best!
Play!
It was just about a week and a half ago when I got to spend an afternoon with these two.
Oh but this time was even more fun!
I finally got to meet sweet little Emry Joy.
She spent most of our session wide awake...but still content!
Those wide open eyes also meant that I got to see those beautiful baby blues staring back at me...just like her mamas eyes!
I look so forward to watching this sweet blessing grow up! Her older brother and sister have a special place in my heart and I can't wait to get to know her the same.
I bet you that this grandma (No...she does NOT look like a grandma!) agrees with me :)
I am one lucky woman.
I know what I have and I know how fortunate it I am.
And I spend time daily just looking at my life and feeling oh so blessed.
They take up a space in my heart that simply can't be occupied by anyone or anything else.
Ben and Haley spend a LOT of time together. And although they have had stages of arguing (I am sure you saw all my posts with them touching heads and holding hands!) but in the past 3 months at least, there have been very little arguments and even less not getting along.
I am grateful for that.
They make forts together, think up new businesses to start, hold new Olympic sport competitions and even want to sleep in the same room more often than not.
I am a lucky mama aren't I?
I have never been shy about my love for Ashley! She not only does my hair (and make me ALWAYS feel beautiful!) but she also has been a source of incredible support for me.
I count myself lucky to be able to spend time with her and be in her presence!
Miss Ashley is about to have her THIRD baby and seriously...she is one HOT mama!!
This new little life will be born ANY day. I can't WAIT to finally meet her!
I have to be honest here.
By mid January I am DONE with this snow. This year in particular, I am just ready to welcome Summer, in all her glory, with open arms. On Saturday morning, there was a fresh blanket of snow on the ground when I woke up. A month ago I would have been quite excited about this beautiful sight...but on this day I sighed to myself and let Cooper outside. I quickly shut the door and watched him through the glass from the warmth of my home.
Cooper had other ideas. He was attached to a leash that gives him some space and he used it to his fullest! He ran and dove like I have never seen before! He took huge bites of the white stuff and couldn't get enough of it!
I grabbed my camera and captured his awe of the snow. I think I might need to take some lessons on attitude from Cooper! ;)
He just turned nine months and there is no end in sight to his very puppy ways! He constantly keeps us on our toes!
I have decided that I like these photos so much...that I just might have to make them up in canvas :)
When the wedding is over, the cake is eaten and the rings are on that third finger...what you have left are the memories in your head and PHOTOGRAPHS. It's the same reason, I ask all my potential bridal clients to really research the photographer before they hire them (whether they decide to go with me or not!). To me, photography is worth the investment. It's everything.
It is what you have hanging on your walls for year to come.
It's what you look at when you want to remember that awesomely wonderful day.
That being said...as I get to cull through all the images of a wedding, I naturally come upon some that are not worthy of being in the final cut but are funny and still represent the day.
The McPherson wedding had all sorts of fun people involved in the day. From family members to the bridal party. I LOVED working with these sweet people!
Apparently I have a really tough time staying out of important shots...
These guys were always having fun and laughing. Despite the quite cold weather and their lack of warm clothing!
This is just a very flattering shot of me.
This next one had me laughing...it makes it look like I had a giant spider in my hands!
He was born into this world at this time last year. It's a crazy time of a year with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. But it's all the more special because it makes you slow down and enjoy all those new first days together.
This year Declan was full of spunk and stole my heart. (He always seems to do that!)
