It had been at least 14 or 15 years.
Since high school graduation to be exact.
But the beauty of Facebook is that in a way...it makes all the years disappear.
You are older...you haved life and you have survived it all.
I have known Jodie since we were in Brownie Girl Scouts...which is a LONG time ago.
But we have met up twice in the last six months and both times it seemed as though no time had passed at all.
I love that.
Here are just a few of the shots that I loved from first sight...

She had no fears about marrying him.
None at all.
Tim was the one for her and she was sure of it.
All the planning and all the stress leading up to this day was worth it.
Because the day was finally here.
Denise was so ready to marry him she was already in her dress when I arrived.
No last minute jitters for her!
Before we knew it...it was time to get ready to head to the ceremony site.
Denise and Tim opted for a "First Look" which I have to admit is probably the best part for me of the whole day (except for vows of course). It was raining just a bit when it was time to go out for the First Look so we grabbed our umbrellas and headed out anyway!
The rain kept starting and stopping but the choice had to be made as to whether to go forward with the ceremony outside or move everything indoors.
Finally a compromise was set and they decided to change the ceremony location but still have it outside.
Simply said...it turned out just perfect.
Denise and Tim-you are not only clients...you have become friends.
Never have I cried so much as vows were said...and that speaks volumes for your love for one another.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to spend the first day of your new life with you!

Sometimes you can't see when everything around you seems to be falling apart...that there is a bigger plan.
A plan that somehow goes beyond what you would ever deem possible for your life.
The "plan B".
The "Grander Plan".
When Denise first met Tim, there wasn't the flying sparks everywhere.
This love took some time.
Denise's younger sister had been talking Tim up to Denise for a while. But when it finally came to meeting him, he was very quiet and mostly kept to himself.
Somehow though Tim got convinced to stop by a family party that was being celebrated for Denise's brother. That was the night Tim met the most important people in the world to Denise.
Her four awesome kids.
That night was when it all really began.
They dated and certainly had their share of ups and downs.
But every real relationship that is ever going to survive...has to outlast the easy and the hard.
I met up with Denise and Tim on a warm Spring day at the beach. Denise had dreamed of having the shoot there and we had rescheduled the shoot 4 or 5 times because of unpredictable weather.
But on this day...the weather was absolutely perfect.
I had so much fun hanging out with these two and getting to know them as a couple!
Stay tuned for their first pictures as husband and wife :)

I was on my way home from a shoot this weekend and decided to take a little detour to stop at my best friends house.
Remember this family?
Well, they have a new member and I just couldn't resist taking a few shots of him!
Meet Quincy @ 8 weeks...

Oh how I love to watch my clients (and neighbors/friends) grow up!
Logan is NO exception.
This kid is CUTE!
Wasn't I just doing his three month shoot?
Wasn't I JUST doing their family shoot on a warm summer day?
The weather is just a tad bit different now, so we pulled Logan inside and let him loose :)

I got to spend some time in Texas over Christmas and had my camera in tow :)
Most of you might just remember this family from this Summer?
Well its Winter and I spent some more time with their sweet faces behind my lens!
We walked around a local downtown area on a beautiful Winter afternoon...

I have had the pleasure of watching this little one grow in her mamas tummy for what seemed like FOREVER!
Thank goodness her mama didn't mind that I constantly had my hands on her belly everytime I was around her ;)
I got the honor of getting to photograph beautiful Rayah just about a week after she entered this big wide world!
To date, she is in the top two performers of all the newborns I have ever done. I have yet to even hear what her cry sounds like and I spent a whole morning with her!
Rayahs mama was stunningly beautiful after what was seemingly a much easier labor than her first was...
Dad was looking pretty good too...considering all the hard labor hours he put in ;)
But most of all...sweet, little Rayah.
She looked beautiful and so utterly perfect.
And if you think she looked as beautiful as I thought she did?
She smelled even better...
And now...their little family of 3 has turned into a beautiful family of 4.
